Every time we have tried to do business here something has gone wrong with our car. They did a unnecessary tire patch, we had just had done, and without asking. This lead to replacing the tire completely. They always advise that something is not working with our lights or the wipers need replaced even when we have recently replaced both. One of our oil changes went without a filter change even though we paid for full service. Cavalier has now become our place of last resort when we can't get in anywhere else.
Carrie thank you for your comments, comments like these always cause me to inquire. Here is what I have found about your most recent visit on 4/8/2020. In reference to the tire, on our routine inspection which includes checking tire air pressure, when you car arrived it had 36 psi in all tires except the left rear tire, it had 29 psi, in fact it had been repaired someplace else and the repair was leaking, we attempted another repair at no charge even though we did not due the original repair. You had General tires on the left side, the right front had Goodyear and the right rear had Douglas tires. Your Check engine light was on, you tag light was burnt out. Your engine oil change was 3000 miles overdue, your transmission fill cap was missing allowing trans fluid to blow out onto the engine, we found the fill cap on the engine cowl, apparently left there from the previous garage or person that checked this, we added trans fluid and installed the fill cap as designed. We also noted you had a rattle from the front of the engine which is worse with the AC on. There is no record of ever advising you of the need for wiper blades. Our records show we performed a VA state inspection in 2018 and this visit last month, I see no other visit by you. I searched our records by the vehicle VIN number just to be sure it wasn't in another name and found no additional information. Your comment that every-time you visit we do or recommend unnecessary items is a bit perplexing. There are no records of any other oil changes or any other service work. I have the complete Digital inspection we performed along with all pictures if this would help clear up any confusion that may remain. We go out of our way to make sure we only recommend what is needed and we document every recommendation with Notes, Pictures and videos along with estimates of needed work and any work needed that is declined. Personally I can not find an issue here with our work here. Thanks for the comments and the opportunity to respond. We look forward to your next visit.
